On Mac/Parallels Desktop when I click on Variables Use Count I get an Articulate Error Report!
Hello everyone!
Happy to share that we've just released a new update for Storyline 360!
In Update 118, we've included essential fixes and new features. We've released a fix for this behavior in Storyline 360.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help.
Hi CJLu,
Thanks for reaching out. Since the same Storyline file works correctly on your PC, this does point more toward the Parallels environment than to corruption in the Storyline file itself.
We do have a few recommended setup guidelines when using Articulate software on a Mac with Parallels Desktop that may help improve stability, including disabling Shared Profile, avoiding Coherence mode, and working entirely within the Windows environment when saving and editing Storyline content.
One thing to keep in mind: moving Storyline files between devices itself isn’t necessarily a problem, but working from shared/cloud/network/external locations can increase the risk of corruption or resource issues due to latency.
I’m not seeing a known issue specifically tied to Variable Use Count or Cisco Secure Client at the moment, but saving and working with your Storyline files and media assets only within the Windows environment instead of shared Mac folders would be a good first troubleshooting step.
If the issue continues after trying those recommendations, please feel free to reach out to our support team so we can take a closer look at your setup and help investigate further.
EricSantos Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, it happens on the PC too. Any suggestions? :)

Hi CJLu,
Great to see that Eric has been helping you!
Also, I noticed that you've been working with my teammate Janina, through a support case. As she shared, we have this behavior logged as a bug in Storyline 360. This bug causes Storyline to trigger an error report when clicking on the 'Use Count' in the Variable window.
We've included your voice in the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is ready. As a workaround, we suggest downgrading to Storyline 360 version 3.116.36838.0 or earlier, where this issue cannot be observed.
I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!
