Problem with Rise 360 course completion in Oracle LMS

Hi everyone,

I need help with a course I created in Rise 360. I uploaded the SCORM package to Oracle LMS, but I’m experiencing an issue, the course status is not marked as “Complete” even when users reach 100% progress.

My current LMS export settings are:

Tracking: 89% course completion

Exit Course Link: Disabled

LMS: Oracle

I’ve already checked the Oracle LMS settings, and everything seems to be correct. I suspect the issue might be related to the Rise export configuration  (This is my first Articulate Rise 360 course.)

Is there any specific setting or configuration I should use when exporting?

Has anyone experienced something like this?

Thank you for your help!

  • Hi MXCursos,

Thanks for sharing those details and screenshots. Since learners are reaching 100% progress, your tracking setup is very close, but there are a couple of things worth adjusting and testing with Oracle LMS.

SCORM 1.2 is an older LMS standard that combines completion and success into a single status value. Because of that, LMSs can sometimes interpret those statuses differently, even when the course itself is sending the expected data.

For the most consistent reporting, we generally recommend using:

    • SCORM 2004 (preferably 4th Edition), xAPI, or cmi5
    • Passed/Incomplete or Passed/Failed reporting

Those newer standards provide separate completion and success values, which often leads to more reliable LMS reporting behavior.

As a next step, I’d recommend checking whether your Oracle LMS environment supports SCORM 2004, xAPI, or cmi5. If it does, try republishing the course using one of those standards along with Passed/Incomplete reporting and test again.

It would also be helpful to test the same package in SCORM Cloud. Since SCORM Cloud is our baseline testing environment, it can help confirm whether the course itself is reporting completion correctly before narrowing things down to LMS-specific behavior.

      Hi EricSantos ,

Thank you so much for your detailed response and guidance. I really appreciate the time you took to explain this.

I was actually looking for a reliable platform to test the course, so your suggestion about SCORM Cloud is very helpful. It will definitely help me validate whether the issue is related to the course itself or the LMS behavior.

In the meantime, I will start by testing the course using the Passed/Incomplete reporting configuration as you suggested. After that, I will also try republishing the course using SCORM 2004 (4th Edition) to see if it improves the tracking and reporting results in our Oracle LMS.

Additionally, I will check with our team whether our Oracle LMS environment supports SCORM 2004, xAPI, or cmi5, so we can align with the recommended standards for more reliable reporting.

Thank you again for your support. I really appreciate your help, and I hope these adjustments will resolve the issue.
