Problems with a video link in Review
Subject: Issue with Video Link Broken in Review Mode
Dear Articulate Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue with videos in Articulate Rise 360. While videos uploaded from other platforms work fine, videos generated from Vyond are not displaying correctly when previewed in Review mode. They appear with a broken link.
The videos themselves play normally when added to the course, but when I generate a Review, the link to the video breaks. I have tested other videos, and they work perfectly, so the issue seems specific to those created in Vyond.
Could you please help me diagnose the cause of this problem? What steps can I take to ensure the videos from Vyond display properly in the Review mode? Any suggestions or guidance on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance!
Best regards,

Good morning JoseTansengco , actually, I tested with Handbrake and carefully checked the parameters required by Storyline, but what I found strange is that the animation has a relatively small file size. I tested with an even lower resolution, and it doesn't work the same way. In the course production format, it works fine, but in review mode, it stopped working. I say it stopped because it was working normally before. I should recreate the entire course because apparently, when creating a new course, they started working again. However, I would like to understand what happened to avoid future issues, as we work a lot with Vyond animations.
Hello AlencarFerreira,
Thanks for sharing your video. I uploaded it to a Rise 360 course and published it to Review 360, and I did not encounter any issues when viewing it. Here's a link to my test course so you can see if the video will load on your end.
Since the issue appears isolated, would you mind opening a new Rise 360 course and uploading the video there so we can determine whether the behavior is specific to a single course? Additionally, please try re-encoding your video using tools like Handbrake and using shorter file names to see if these make any difference. If the issue persists, please open a case with our support team here to connect with a support engineer for additional troubleshooting.

JoseTansengco Apparently, the problem is with the course in question. It was working and suddenly stopped working. I tested creating a new course, and the videos work both in construction mode and in review mode. But in the course I am having trouble with, the videos only work in construction mode. Really strange. Is it possible to import the parts that work into a new course to save time? The course is a bit extensive to start from scratch. I even tried creating new blocks to import the videos instead of re-importing the video in the same place, but in the new blocks, it still doesn't work.

How did you add the Vyond videos to Rise? Which block type did you use?

I used a Multimedia block (video) and an animation created in Vyond, where the final file is a simple MP4 with a size of 4.9 MB. I also have other animations created in Vyond that were incorporated into Rise and work perfectly. In fact, this one with the broken link worked before and suddenly stopped working in Review mode. However, the animation works in the file before it is turned into Review.
Hi AlencarFerreira!
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with certain Vyond media, that's been uploaded to Rise 360!
Are you experiencing this issue across all supported browsers, or is it specific to one? Also, does clearing your browser's cache, or using an incognito browser improve the issue?
If you're comfortable sharing a copy of the affected MP4 video, we'd be happy to take a closer look and test it on our end. Feel free to share that here in the discussion, or privately through a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
