Question-level reporting in LMS (Saba) for Storyline 360 embedded in Rise
I am not finding any discussions about this, so I apologize if I missed it somewhere in the threads.
We have two simulations built in Storyline 360 with multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank questions + results slide. Each simulation is embedded in its own Rise module.
Storyline360 Results slide
Quiz settings: "Calculate Results for Questions."
Final Assessment
Tracking: When the learner completes a quiz (results slide/final assessment)
Rise publish settings
Tracking: "Track Using Storyline Block."
LMS Reporting: SCORM 1.2 "Passed/Incomplete"
We are publishing to Saba.
Reporting currently shows Completed/Unsuccessful status, number of attempts, time spent, and final score.
However, the question-level data (correct/wrong, answer selected, etc.) is not coming through. I have attached a screenshot of that report.
Are we missing a Storyline publish setting somewhere? Or is this an issue due to the fact that we are embedding the Storyline file in a Rise course?
Note: We have also tested this publishing to SCORM 2004 (not our SOP) but not getting better data.

Hello,
I need advice or guidance on collecting question-level data from a Storyline quiz added to a Rise module. We used SKORM 2004 v4 to export to Moodle. The only data we get is the % score.
I have read multiple posts in different forums on this issue and am still unable to find a solution for my data collection. Thanks

Hi HollyDubiel
It is possible (but not that simple) to include JavaScript in your Storyline blocks that sends data to a SCORM 2004 compliant LMS. There is a defined database structure in SCORM 2004 that you can use to store whatever you want...
...But it does beg the question, why not add a plug-in to your Moodle LMS that supports xAPI and use that? There's a clue in the name of the standard "SCORM 2004" that might suggest it's time for an update. 🙂
Hello HollyDubiel,
Happy to help!
Embedded Storyline 360 blocks don't send quiz data because they lack the necessary files to function like they were published for LMS distribution. If you need recorded responses from the embedded Storyline 360 block, consider creating and publishing your course entirely in Storyline 360 instead.

Thank you for the response.
Hi Ambre!
Thanks for reaching out! I see you've already opened a support case and my teammate Darrell just picked it up. You're in excellent hands working one on one with him!
You should be hearing from him shortly! We'll continue this conversation over in your support case!

Hi all,
What was the solution? I would like to see question level reporting to my LMS as well, but I am not seeing an option that does this. Is there one?
thanks!

Hi Andrew! Rise does not support the question-level reporting we needed. We ended up using our LMS to bundle the series of courses and for the scored quizzes, using Storyline. Here's a screenshot. The Scored Simulations (light green) and Final Scored Quiz (red) are the Storyline lessons. The rest are built in Rise.
