Removing or Hiding the Previous/Next Buttons?
Hi There! I'm using Storyline to put together a (really cool) museum-style interaction that will play on a touch screen computer at a historical site! I'd like to essentially make the interaction play full screen at 1280X720, so I've gone in and set all of the player elements as transparent. Here's my question: I have gotten rid of everything but the previous and next buttons- how do I turn these off?
Thanks!

Situation: I have a small project where the front slide acts as a menu and launches a series of chapters. The chapters all have Player Prev and Next buttons, but there are no buttons on the front menu. I am using S360 and note that when no buttons are used on the slide, the display is centred top to bottom - unlike previous versions which just left the space where the buttons would have appeared.
Issue: The positioning of the display appears to be a step forward, but seems to have creating an unforeseen issue in that the slide display jumps when you select an option on the front menu - the slide inserts the space at the bottom before displaying the new slide.
Question: Is there a way to force the slide to keep the space at the Player space? I never thought I'd want that, but I think this is the only solution (unless anyone has a better idea)
Hi Bryan,
Try enabling the volume or captions button in the player. That will create a "placeholder" on the front menu slide, and the player will maintain the same width as it would if the next/previous buttons were turned on.

Thanks for the suggestion. Alyssa.
The project has no audio or video so that introduces redundant buttons too. We'll live with jumping for this one.

What about the Play button? Doesn't seem to be an option to disable or hide this. I'm showing a video on a separate layer; the video is located on a streaming server and has its own controls. But the Play button in the Storyline player is still visible and active, and if someone were to click on it, it would bring them back to the base layer, interrupting the video.
Hi Donald!
Can you share a screenshot of the play button you're referring to? Is it the play button that is attached to the player seekbar?
If so, you can hide the entire seekbar on a slide by disabling that feature in Slide Properties.

Thanks Christine Hendrickson
"You're using a custom "Submit" button and they're still showing up? Do you have the default buttons enabled on any other slides in the course? If so, that may be what's happening."
Check your complete file for any slide even if you might not be using that slide in a regular flow of your course!
