Review Quiz Settings

Hi all,

I built an assessment with freeform quiz questions that tallies on a results slide. When the user clicks Review Quiz, the trigger is set to Show correct/incorrect responses when reviewing. For my Matching Drag and Drop questions, when I answer correctly and then review, the bar at the bottom is always green and "Correct," but I'm seeing inconsistent things on the slide.

In some cases, the terms and definitions are connected correctly but labeled with red numbers. In other cases, the terms and definitions are not connected and they are labeled with green numbers.

When the answer is correct, I want them labeled in green. When the answer is incorrect, I want them labeled in red.

I can't seem to find out where to make these adjustments. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

  • Hi LaurenONeill-56!

Sorry to hear you've encountered inconsistencies with Quiz Review Slides in Storyline!

I noticed you've shared your file privately through a support case. I see my teammate Ian was able to replicate this behavior in a new .story file, and has logged this as a bug in Storyline 360.

The culprit seems to be the combination of the matching drag-and-drop interaction and an image on the slide. The image can be anything, even one from the Content Library 360. As long as there's an image in a matching drag-and-drop interaction, the issue can happen. It appears to happen randomly, too; hence, on your test, you saw that it sometimes behaves as expected, and other times, on the same question, it doesn't.

As a workaround, you can create a Review layer on each of your matching drag-and-drop slides, which you can design to show the correct answer. The layer has to be named "Review", and it'll automatically be the one displayed during review mode.

I've linked this discussion to the bug report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is in place.

Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!
