Rise 360: Creating Additional Interactivity & Personalization

I've been told that I can increase the interactivity of Rise 360 by importing Storyline functionality.  To date, I've only seen the option of adding a Storyline 360 interaction from Review 360.  Are there other ways?  Specifically, I'd like to personalize the Rise e-learning by allowing the learner to enter their name.

  • Using only Articulate 360 (that is, without using JavaScript or other special coding), adding a Storyline (SL) block is the only way to get Storyline functionality into Rise. Karl's reply gives the basic steps for inserting a SL block.

That functionality is still somewhat limited, because a SL block can't store data in the LMS. For example, even if you insert a block that has the user enter their name, that variable data isn't accessible elsewhere. In other words, you won't be able to re-use that name later in Rise—not even in another SL block.

Also be aware that when the user returns to a lesson, any SL block resets.

Create your interaction in Storyline 360.

Publish your interaction from Storyline 360 to Review 360.

Add your interaction to Rise from Review 360 as shown in your screenshot.
