Rise continue button not enabling after Storyline block completed
I have been building various interactions in Storyline which I upload to Rise which the learner must complete before the continue button is enabled. This has been working fine for as long as I can remember. In the last week none of the continue buttons enable once a storyline block has been completed. This is happening in all of my new developments. My setting in the Storyline file on the last button is When user selects button Complete Course as Completed / Passed. Can someone please assist urgently as we have course that have been published which is now an issue.

Was this issue resolved? I am having the same issue in one of my Rise courses. Thanks!

Yes, however it seemed to resolve itself. I did not make any changes to the course and one day it just worked. Not a great outcome since I don't know how to fix it if it happens again. Could have been some system updates that were needed. Not sure what the issue was. Good luck with your course. Would love to identify the root cause so I'll keep checking back.

I'm having the issue as well. The Continue block does not work for me in Review however does work for other users when I ask for their feedback. It works in the LMS as well. I have a Storyline course embedded in the Articulate Rise 360 block. This is a very new problem as I've been working the same course for a couple weeks and it worked just days ago.
Hello ShannonMarciano,
I understand you're the only person on your team impacted by this Continue Block behavior when viewing your Rise 360 course in Review 360. Happy to help!
- You mentioned this occurs for you in Review 360. Do you also see this when previewing your course in Rise 360?
- What browser are you currently using? Do you notice this behavior if you use an incognito window?
- Are you experiencing this in any other Rise 360 courses, or just this one?
- If this happens for more than one course on your device, I suggest checking your browser settings and clearing your browser's cache if necessary.
As I shared with others in this thread, it would be helpful if you could share a screen recording and a copy of your course in this thread or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks for the reply. I tried in several browsers and also in Cognito mode. I'll try in Rise360 and clearing my browser history. Stay tuned.

I'm having the same issue. The strange thing in my case is that this set up will work properly once the course is uploaded into my LMS.
The challenge is, it doesn't seem to work in Preview mode or Review 360. Which gives the impression it doesn't work at all. And it's difficult if I have people reviewing the course in Review 360, they'll get stuck.
Curious if anyone else has this issue or there is something I'm missing.Hi AlexSimpher,
I understand that you have a Continue button that is working as expected once publishing your course to LMS, but not when using Preview or Review 360.
- Just to confirm, what are your current Completion Type settings in Rise 360 for the Continue Button Block?
- Are you experiencing this in any other Rise 360 courses, or just this one?
Could you share a screen recording of what you're experiencing and a copy of your Rise course link and story file so we can investigate this further? You can share your materials in this discussion or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Steven,
I can see that a couple of months have passed since this previous message, but I'm having the same issue now. I've tried the steps suggested earlier, but for me, it did not solve the problem. The CONTINUE button does not activate :-(. Any suggestions? - Thanks in advance!
Hi Karin! It sounds like you've almost got it. Please read through these steps to see if there's one you've missed:
- Delete the current Storyline block in your Rise 360 lesson.
- On the final slide, add this trigger: Complete course when the user clicks the button OR Complete course when the timeline starts on this slide.
- When you publish your Storyline course to Review 360, choose Track using complete course trigger.
- Add the updated Storyline block to your Rise 360 lesson.
-
Open the Continue button settings, and be sure to set the Completion Type to require learners to Complete the block(s) above the continue block.
Give that a try, and let me know if that works for you!
