Rise vs Mighty Maestro

Hello. Due to the need for rapid development, Rise is now a staple for us vs Storyline. However, no one wants the generic Rise look and feel anymore. Does Articulate have plans to introduce features that Mighty Maestro is offering? These should be standard, and users should not have to purchase a separate plug-in for this functionality.

  • Just signed up for Mighty as well.

One disadvantage is if you need to publish course as PDF for compliance audits (yes they are still old school), Mighty blocks show up as a placeholder in the document. You can edit your PDF later, but who has time to edit the entire course. I understand the modifications and power ups show up fine.

With the continued price increases and spending dollars on features not everyone uses (ex: Reach), really wish Articulate would spend more time integrating these features so we can customize Rise courses. Learners get bored with the same look with the current limitations.

  • The number of times I heard this conversation at a conference the other day was a lot.  It would be great if an Articulate staff could provide some intel if they have any.  We are looking at Mighty, but it is expensive and we are worried about the fact if you somehow have budget cuts and no longer can afford the extension then those blocks no longer work.  Would be nice for Articulate to just add these features.  My concern if for some reason you can't keep it then after your last zip file with the mighty blocks included are published those will play for he learner but then you couldn't update it anymore.  I saw some cool stuff someone had done on Linked in the other day.  I wouldn't have known it was RISE.

TeresaVanderpos I ended up getting company buy-in to purchase Mighty after my trial ends. It really is a game changer and can do some amazing things. I'm enjoying it very much.

  • I came across Mighty Maestro last week and thought exactly the same. Can Articulate just buy the company out?
