Rise360 Matching Interaction and WCAG 2.2 AA
Earlier this year, the matching interaction was updated to include a number dropdown system. As I understood it, the change was made to allow that interaction to be compliance with 2.5.7 Dragging Movements, for Level AA 2.2 compliance. The compliance report states that only the sorting activity interaction is not compliant.
Today, as I was working on a course for a client that requires Level AA 2.2 compliance, the matching activity has reverted back to the drag-and-drop approach. I can't find a notification regarding this, and the compliance report doesn't specify matching as not being supported for the 2.5.7 Dragging Movements requirement.
Is the rollback to the older interaction an error, and will it be updated again?
Here's a screenshot of the interaction, taken today (June 23, 2025). As seen, the instructions reflect the more recent iteration of this interaction.

You can read about this update here.Thank you, Kyle. It wasn't immediately apparent to me that the solution was keyboard-friendly, but based on that article, I see that it is. I agree - this is a much better looking solution!!!
