Rounded rectangle caption shapes - corner radius
Hi all,
Client has asked us to change rectangle caption shapes to rounded corner rectangles.
When I do this, either by using the Format>Change Shape feature, or by creating a new caption shape... I CANNOT ADJUST the CORNER RADIUS of the captions (callouts).
The strange thing is, if my associate does the same thing - his corner radius is TOO BIG.
When I do this, my corner radius is TOO SMALL.
We'd like to make the corner radius JUST RIGHT.
I hope you can appreciate the Goldilocks nature of our problem.
How can we adjust this default corner radius on rounded rectangle caption shapes? Something must affect this setting because of the difference in default between myself and my associate.
Try replicating yourself - can you adjust rounded corner radius on rounded rectangle caption shapes? If not - what size are yours?
Please help before the 3 bears get home and eat me.
Hi, everyone!
I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 100, we have included essential fixes and new features. One of the new features we’ve included is:- Corner Radius Formatting. Keep your course design consistent by defining precise values for rounded corners.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here!

Well, that's great news - please thank the developers! I just downloaded the update and had a quick play with it. I love the alternative methods provided (percentages vs pixels) and that you can now control the radius of individual corners.
I can also see that the new controls are ONLY available for the "Rounded Rectangle" object. Maybe that can be expanded to some of the other objects in the future.

The new controls are available for any rectangle with square corners except the rounded corner as well as pictures and captions

Yes, so it is, thanks for the clarification, Phil! I guess that makes sense as you could loosely class rectangles and pictures as rounded corner objects with the corners set as zero <wink>

Excellent news! Hope since it's been asked for this long that it's near the top of the list!

PLEASE add this feature! By the way I just Googled how to do this and even AI THINKS we can. Apparently AI doesn't know everything. My two cents when SL gets around to this is we need a "Global" checkbox and the option for setting individual radius.

I think they will never get the idea that this is a needed feature and they are just refusing to add it even acknowledge this thread and people want this feature. Coming up on 10 years of people asking for this. Microsoft is dumb.
Hello Brandon, just chiming in here to let everyone know that this has made it's way to our public roadmap. No ETA but it is coming.

I've come to this now 6 year old thread wondering how to change the curve radius only to find out that you still can't.

I've spent hours fine tuning the corner radius on hundreds of differently sized text boxes by dragging that tiny yellow handle by a pixel left or right. Even zoomed in at 400% it's a really horrible job and I can feel my eyes starting to get jittery!
Please give us a corner radius value we can hard code, and that doesn't change when the box resizes.

After 6 years any chance we can see this in the near future?

Why is this so hard to implement? Please get this done, Articulate.

I find it hard to believe this function is still not implemented into storyline. They have it on the rounded rectangle shape why can they not add a similar function to the captions and buttons? This thread is over 6 years old and it still has not been implemented? As one of the previous comments, it's a basic drawing tool feature.
