Screenshot Quality
Hi all - I am building system simulations, but the client system sits on a separate laptop so I am having to build using screenshots rather than screen recording.
Whilst this is not an issue, the quality of the screens are really poor once loaded into SL. They are being obtained using the standard Snipping Tool (can't use extensions like I have in other projects as the system loads in a separate window), and so they look great when emailed to me and opened, but then fairly distorted once in the project.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to improve the quality? Or know a better way to get the screens in the first place so they load better? (I will have to go back and replace in all my modules but am really unhappy with them currently so will be woryj the time investment)
Thanks

Try setting the resolution of the screen where you're taking the screenshots to be the same as the size of your Storyline slide. For example, set them both at 1920x1080.
One thing that could be happening is that the laptop screen is much higher resolution than your Storyline slide size. If you have the laptop hooked up to a high resolution, or even if the laptop monitor is on its default (which is often 1920x1200), and your Storyline slide is smaller (like 960 x 540 pixels, the default 16:9), Storyline has to squish those screenshots down to fit on your slide.

That's a great shout actually. Will try resizing the screens and see :)

Emma_b It may be due to how the image is prepped/handled for/in storyline, here is an article on best practice for high quality images that may be helpful.

I’m curious where you see the quality loss happen. Do the pictures become worse after you paste them into Storyline, after you preview, or after you publish?

As soon as loaded they lose some, but seen a reply mentioning re-sizing to match so going to give that a try
