SSML tags in Storyline 360

Hello,

I'm trying to create some SSML to properly pronounce a few words for a veterinary science program I'm developing.  SSML is all new to me!

Here are the tags:

<speak>
   <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="mɪˈdæzəlæm">Midazolam</phoneme>
   <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="ˌmɛtəˈkloʊprəˌmaɪd">Metaclopromide</phoneme>
   <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="ˈɡɑːvɑːʒ">Gavage</phoneme>
   <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="daɪˈæzəpæm">diazepam</phoneme>
   <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="si dʒi ˈfɛɹæd">CgFARAD</phoneme>
   <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="əˈsaɪtiːz">ascites</proneme>
</speak>

I've tried numerous standard voices, and have changed alphabet to "x-ampas" but keep getting the error

Is the syntax correct?  Do I need Amazon Polly or anything else installed with storyline for it to work?

    I'm glad to see that you're exploring the use of SSML Tags in your Storyline course! I want to confirm that we need to make some slight adjustments for that pesky error message to go away.

    Here are the steps:

    1. First, you'll want to insert periods at the end of each tag line.

    2. I noticed that there was one slight misspelling that I modified on that last line you'll want to change the "r" to an "h". No worries!

    3. After making these modifications, you should be able to insert the Text-to-Speech with no issue.

    I'd like to share a quick visual of this in action as well as the modified tags for your reference.

    <speak>
       <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="mɪˈdæzəlæm">Midazolam</phoneme>.
       <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="ˌmɛtəˈkloʊprəˌmaɪd">Metaclopromide</phoneme>.
       <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="ˈɡɑːvɑːʒ">Gavage</phoneme>.
       <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="daɪˈæzəpæm">diazepam</phoneme>.
       <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="si dʒi ˈfɛɹæd">CgFARAD</phoneme>.
       <phoneme alphabet="ipa" ph="əˈsaɪtiːz">ascites</phoneme>.
    </speak>

    I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
