Here you go, I think this is what you were looking for?
What I have done is, I took your oval and number and added it to the state within your main rectangle. Then I just moved the oval and number to the new position.
Also, when creating various states, use "new state" instead of "duplicate state", this way you will not see the initial - in your case - the dark rectangle in the selected or hover state.

Wow! Thank you! Myself and the team did not know you can take the timeline shapes out and place into the states. Genius!
