Stereo audio playback issues in timeline in Storyline
I have been experiencing some issues with stereo wav files in the timeline of Storyline 360. I am currently using a Scarlett 2i4 interface as the main audio device for playback, and stereo audio tracks are only being played through the left hand side channel on the timeline. This happens when publishing the package to Review 360 too.
I have tested the interface, and it works fine in all other programmes on my machine, and the audio preview option under the audio tools ribbon tab in Storyline also manages to play the audio file back in stereo without an issue. This seems to be a problem localised to the timeline.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue, or have any ideas as to fixes?
Hi JonathonHerman,
Sorry to hear about the stereo audio playback issues. I'm happy to help!
Since your audio files have stereo sound and you want to keep the stereo format in your published course, I recommend turning off compression. Compressed audio has mono sound in the published output. Applying this setting should fix the audio issue when published to Review 360.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.

Hi EricSantos ,
Thank you very much for the response. I exported all of the .wav files to .mp3, turned off compression and published the project to review, and it has now worked.
