Stop audio from playing all at once.

Good afternoon! I recently created this activity. In it, you click on various objects to reveal information. When the information is revealed, audio plays. I realized after the fact that you can, in theory, click things in rapid succession and have audio that all plays at the same time. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

  • Your first solution seems to stop anything from playing going forward. :( I should've done them as layers.

  • The settings would depend on how your content is "revealed". If the object state changes on click, you could add triggers (Stop media) to stop your base/other element audio when the object is clicked.

Alternatively, if you used layers for each reveal (the workflow I would suggest), you can set the layer settings to both "Hide other layers" and "Pause the timeline on the base slide". Place the base audio on the slide, and the audio for each revealed object on its corresponding layer - no audio triggers required.
