Stop auto-play in embedded video - Rise
I have three iframe embedded videos, one on each tab of an interactive tabs block in Rise. During testing, once the section is loaded/displayed on the screen, all three videos start playing at the same time. Is there something I can do to stop this auto-playing? Thanks!

Hello, did this ever get resolved? I'm putting in Continue buttons and my clipped video that is embedded is still repeating.
Hi gfry11,
Is the video you're embedding a YouTube video with additional parameters to modify the start and stop time? If not, can you tell us what type of video it is and how you clipped it? Embedded YouTube videos don't typically loop after completing, so there might be something in your embed code that triggers the loop.
- If it's a YouTube video, would you mind sharing the embed code with us here so we can check the parameters?
- If it's a file, please share and upload a copy here or by opening a case with our support team so we can test it directly in a Rise 360 course.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

This is pretty ridiculous that the RISE team couldn't address this bug in the many years that it has come up.
For those still needing a fix, go in and edit the embed link so that 'autoplay' is edited to read 'autoplay=0'. That turns it off for me.

Well you keep asking people to share their courses, but have you come up with a solution to stop the autoplay?!?! That you can share?!

My solution has been to add an intro slide to my videos with no audio, with a button "Click Here to start the course". So even if I have 4 videos on a page and they all start auto-playing, there won't be audio and the 4 videos will all pause on "Click Here to start the course".

Is there any update on this getting fixed? Even just any other divider besides the continue button stopping the autoplay would be great (spacers, for example, wouldn't interrupt the flow).

We are experiencing the same issue with autoplay. Any luck in developing a solution? The video block is actually the 4th content block on the page but still begins playing as soon as the page loads.
Thanks, Tomer!
Storyline blocks play automatically by default, which can cause interference when there are multiple Storyline blocks in the same Rise 360 lesson. Here are some ways to prevent Storyline blocks from overlapping.
- Use only static content on the first slide of each Storyline block so there aren't any sounds or animations to distract learners from other content in the Rise 360 lesson.
- If the first slide of each Storyline block has media or animations, add a trigger that pauses the timeline of the first slide when the timeline starts. Then, add a button to the first slide of each Storyline block that lets learners resume the timeline when they're ready to proceed.

Hi Eric,
Thank you, these are Storyline blocks in my case...
Hi Tomer,
Thanks for reaching out! I'd like to ask a few troubleshooting questions so we can address your issue appropriately:
- Are the videos auto-playing in your Rise 360 course added using a Multimedia Embed block or a Video block?
- Or is it inside a Storyline block?

Is there a resolution to this yet? Or is the Continue button still the only option?
