Story with narration - newbie needing help
Hi Experts,
I'm hoping someone might be able to help me tidy up my variables and triggers in Storyline. I'm still fairly new and I have a feeling that my current setup could be more streamlined.
At the moment, I have all of the triggers on each slide in a 27-slide project, and I suspect this might be contributing to some slight lag in performance. I've attached an example file that shows what I'm trying to achieve.
Any suggestions on how to simplify or optimise the setup, perhaps by reducing the number of triggers would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help.

Elements that will be on all slides could be put on the Slide Master. Elements that will be on multiple slides could be put a Layout. Here's more info: https://community.articulate.com/kb/user-guides/storyline-360-using-slide-masters/1109748
This post has a file that demonstrates a toggling button on the master: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/discuss/tip-master-toggling-on-and-off/1001596

Hi Kate, we don't use the player controls because of the chatter/noise it creates for people using assistive technology. We use controls built into the slide instead.

Hello! Can I suggest you show the learner how to mute the audio in the player?
That way, they have the choice without all the triggers.
