Storyline - preview and publish not showing slides
Hi all,
I have an issue with Storyline 360 and the issue is that when I go into preview only player is shown and the same thing happens when I publish the course. No slides - this affects the whole project.
Note that I worked on the affected projects a week, and two weeks ago with no issues. One of then was published for LMS and works as intended.
I have tried:
- rebooting OS (win 11)
- uninstalling Storyline, rebooting, installing
- importing the project into new project
I would greatly appreciate any assistance in this :)
Regards,
Roland

Just a quick follow up - I had the same issue again yesterday. Poppins was showing in the font list this time. After uninstall and reinstall it was working fine.
I'm wondering if this will be an ongoing problem with Win 11 updates triggering the same issue?
Hi AndrewBaker-c37,
Thank you for sharing your experience after updating to Windows 11!
I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the Poppins font. We haven't received similar reports, and I haven't encountered the problem on my end, even after updating Windows 11.
If the issue occurs again and repairing Storyline doesn't improve things, would you be open to starting a support case with our team? Our support engineers may request system logs to help investigate the root cause more thoroughly.

Sure thing.

And to further expand - it was the OTF version of the fonts that were creating an issue. Once I've figured that out I've converted them to TTF and everything was fine.
The chat with AI support bot suggested that might be an issue although it's listed as fixed on July 7, 2020 (Build 3.41.22509.0).

Thanks for your post.
I've hit this same wall. I did not think of checking the fonts.
I hope that I can find a TTF version of the desired font.

I've just run into the same problem but I am using a TTF font. The font is Poppins I checked the TTF files' properties to confirm it's TTF. I checked the project again with Open Sans, no problem. I've attached a file with three slides. 1 uses Poppins (blank preview), 2 uses Tittilium (another TTF), 3 uses Open Sans. 2 & 3 preview fine.
Poppins is our default font so a bit of an issue 😃 Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I figured it out. It was the font - KMR Apparat and Inter.
Now, what bothers me is why it was all working a week ago...

I'll probably do that. I appreciate you time :)

without seeing the Story file, it is really hard to diagnose. You may want to consider submitting a case, however, the Support team would also like to see the files in question.

Hi :). Thanks for responding - unfortunately due to the sensitivity of the content I can't.
In meantime I've tried rolling back to previous version but the issue remained.
It seems that only the last two projects are affected (both of which were fine a week ago).

Can you share one of your effected projects?
