Thanks for letting us know that inserting the video into a blank file causes Storyline to crash. That's certainly something our team can help you troubleshoot!
I understand you'd rather not share your video files, but since it's the best way for us to demonstrate the problem and document a defect, we'd happily accept those files shared here privately if you change your mind.
Otherwise, do you have more success if you separate the large video file into smaller clips before importing?
