Storyline 360 standalone

Hi,

for security reasons I can't use SL360 (no internet access).

I can use SL3 but it is older and older.

So, I am wondering if it exists now a version of SL360 for a standalone computer.

    Hi Jose,

I know that it is mandatory to connect every 99 days. This is the problem, because this is not possible !

In the page End of Support for Storyline 3 - Articulate Support  we can read from Articulate :

" I want to subscribe to Articulate 360 but can't use cloud services. Can you help?

We understand that some organizations can't use online or cloud-based services. We have solutions for you. For example, we can turn off cloud-based services like Rise 360, Review 360, Storyline 360 team slides, or Storyline 360 text-to-speech at the account owner's request. Contact us to discuss your options."

So, you say that you have solution for us, but unfortunatly it seems there is actually no solution

    Am I wrong ?

Please, consider this issue and propose solutions.

  • Hello RickyNox

    Thanks for reaching out!

You can use Storyline 360 without internet access. Initially, you will need to be online to sign into the Articulate 360 desktop app and install Storyline 360. Once that is done, you can use Storyline 360 offline for up to 99 days at a time. If you're offline longer than 99 consecutive days, you'll need to reconnect to the internet to sign back in and reset the offline clock.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions!

      Thanks Luciana

The problem is that the PC cannot be connected to internet.

Would it be possible to manually reactivate the SL360 license using a second PC connected to the internet to exchange machine ID with your license server and manually enter the received activation code into the non-connected PC ?  It was possible to do that on older SL3 (manual activation by email).

        Hi @EricR,

        Happy to chime in!

Storyline 360 doesn't use a license but rather web-based authentication to verify if a user is part of an active subscription. This is why you'll need to be connected to the Internet for the authentication procedure. Still, you can be offline to use Storyline 360 to author content (except for specific features that require an Internet connection).

You can also connect to the Internet to authenticate Storyline 360, then use it for up to 99 days without being connected to the Internet before being required to sign in again.
