Storyline block goes white/blank on a Rise lesson in preview mode

Hi, I have a storyline block in a Rise course. In Rise- in edit mode, or preview mode or when shared for viewing, the interactive SL block loads fine when the lesson page loads. If you scroll up or down or go back to the main menu then back to this page--the storyline block is white/blank.  To reproduce it, just publish the storyline file to review 360 and link it to an interactive block in Rise.

Scroll up and down a few times on that lesson page and eventually, it will go blank/white.

  • Hi JulieJones-e309 I haven't been able to replicate the issue. I added a couple of topics and content below the SL block so I could scroll up and down and the block remained visible throughout.

It might be worth throwing together a test course to see if you can replicate it also. If you can't replicate it, you might get closer to identifying another block within your course that is causing the issue.

  • Thank you for taking the time to test this for me. I will try a test course and see what I can find.

Hi JulieJones-e309, after posting my response I did see the issue happen once and had to click out of the page and back in to get the Storyline file to load.

Great SamHill. Any thoughts on a resolution?  I am testing this more today. (Have not had power for 4 days because of Helene) Thanks for the response and I will update with my findings.

      Hello Julie,

Sorry to hear that you ran into this snag. To test the behavior, I tried scrolling up and down on the lesson page and switching between tabs but couldn't replicate the problem. Here's a recording of my test. Would you mind accessing my Review 360 link here to test if you'll be able to observe the issue using my sample course?

I'd also like to ask a few questions to clarify your experience:

      • Were you able to test the behavior on different browsers? If the problem is browser-specific, please share which browser and browser version were used for testing.
      • Can you replicate the behavior using any Storyline 360 course, or is it specific to the course you shared?

Looking forward to hearing from you!
