Storyline Block in Rise not reporting correctly
- 2 months ago
Hi ChrisPim-f7a22b,
I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Build 3.103.35301.0, we’ve included important fixes. One of the bugs we’ve fixed:
- Completing a Storyline 360 block added to a Rise 360 course didn’t enable the continue block.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help.
Thanks all so when you say it can use triggers
- Using triggers (e.g., 'complete course')
it cant use triggers of complete course mark as fail?

Rise can't mark a Storyline block as passed or failed. It can only mark it as completed.
FYI: That means you can require that someone pass a test in an SL block before they can continue in Rise. To do that, put a "Complete course" trigger on the Success layer of the Results slide. Publish the Storyline file so it only tracks via the completion trigger. In other words, be sure to deselect the option to track quiz completion.

I am finding that setting a course complete status on the success layer of a storyline quiz embedded in a Rise block does not report correctly to a continue divider set to unlock if the block above (the storyline quiz) is completed...i wonder if this is because it is in a microlearning rather than a full Rise course

I suggest that you verify that your "Complete course" trigger runs and that only the "Use trigger" tracking option is selected when you publish the Storyline project to Review 360.
I'd guess that being in a microlearning shouldn't be a problem. But I've never worked on a Rise microlearning, so I can't really say for sure. If you've verified the trigger and the publishing settings, yet it still won't complete, I suggest you contact support: https://access.articulate.com/support/contact
P.S. For future reference, rather than adding a question to an old discussion, it's usually better to start a new discussion. I happened to open this thread, but I think a lot of use who answer questions here skip posts that already have multiple replies.
