Storyline publish to intranet site

Good morning from New Zealand! :)
I'm trying to get a Storyline package published to our older intranet. The intranet is hosted internally.

I've been reading that I'd need to publish as a web package, however, I need to be able to provide guidance to our internal intranet team about how I make this work.

So...is there anyone who can give me a quick step by step?

My guess is I publish, then zip it and have it uploaded to the back end of our intranet site.

However, once this is done, what needs to happen to the file? Does it need to be unzipped etc?

I usually use rise, and for this the intranet team gave created a page where I can upload the .zip, and then a weblink is generated which can be used by our firm.

This is not working for the storyline file, so I can only assume I have to do something different?

any advice would be very gratefully received.

  • For use on an intranet (or the internet), publish for the web. Here's the User Guide info on that: Storyline 360: Publishing a Course for Web Distribution | Articulate - Community

You can zip the files if that makes them easier to transfer to the IT folks. However, the unzipped set of files should be uploaded to the web server. At the highest level, the files will look something like this:

Launch the course from the story.html file. The full URL is determined by the location on your company's servers.
