Storyline Publishing in SCORM With Thin Borders...Help!

Hello!

I'm struggling with this and need some advice. When I insert a published Storyline file

into Rise 360, it appears how I want it, with no borders. It appears this way in both the editing and preview modes. The background of the Storyline and the Rise block in which it sits are the same color, so there should be seamless integration. The player on this Storyline file is turned off. (See image below).

However, when I publish the SCORM package and view the content in our LMS, it appears with thin borders around it. I am publishing the SCORM as 2004, 4th edition.

What is happening that is making these border lines appear and how can I make them go away?

This is also happening in other Storyline files where I need the player to remain. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong!

Popping back in because I figured out what the issue was -- the colored background in my storyline was a shape that I had stretched over the canvas and filled to the desired color. Even though the shape was set to not have an outline, for some reason it was showing with outlines in the published SCORM file.

However, if I changed the background color of the slide instead of using a shape as the background, the storyline blends seamlessly.

  • Hi MaryCutright it looks like your Storyline file may have a white background, and due to the sizing not being quite spot on, a bit of that background is coming through. This is my theory anyway. I think you may be able to get rid of this by using the player setting. Try this:

    1. Open up the Player settings
    2. Ensure Modern player is selected
    3. Ensure Menus and Controls is Off

    4. Select Colors and Effects
    5. Select Custom
    6. Select Background Color and enter #005C9B

    7. Publish

Hey Sam! I appreciate the suggestion, but the storyline is already set like this.

Ah, ok. The only way I would be able to help is to view the content in the browser to see what is placing the white border around the content. Using the browser developer tools, you can inspect the HTML elements and see what has set the white border in the CSS properties.
