Storyline360: unable to remove item at top of slides? Only comes up in preview mode on the screen.

Hi,

I was wondering if someone was able to assist me?

I have taken over an e-learning project on Storyline360 and i have noticed in preview mode that an blue image/banner/item appears at the top of the slides, I have looked into every setting to try and remove this however I have had no luck when trying to look for it in edit mode so i can remove it, it doesn't appear on the slides at all. Please could someone assist on this? I am relatively new to Storyline360 so this may be something i am not aware of.

Please see attached image for reference.

Many Thanks.

  • Go to the Slide Master. It probably has that content on a layer, plus a trigger to show the layer when the timeline starts. You can either edit it there, or delete the layer and the trigger if you don't want it to show. Be sure to check all the Master Layouts.

FYI: Content on the Slide Master appears on all the slides. However, except for Placeholders, objects inserted on the Master appear below the content on a slide. And they don't appear on the Timeline, so you can't bring them to the front. The solution is to put them on a layer that shows when the timeline starts. You discovered the main drawback of that solution: you don't see those items while editing.
