Text Entry Not Losing Focus

The text entry field will not lose focus. I'm honestly worried it might be my comp because I went back to saved lessons that have worked previously and they are now behaving the same way. I've tried Enter, Tab, and clicking outside of the box. No response. I've included the slide I am struggling with.

  • Hi DesiraeGoode!

Sorry to hear the playback of a Text Entry field in Storyline isn't working as expected!

Thanks for sharing your file. I tested your design in the current version of Storyline 360 (while previewing), and after publishing to Review 360 (in Google Chrome). Both times the Text Entry box, and Variable Trigger you've set up, worked as expected!

    • Here's a quick Peek using the ENTER key, TAB, key, and the mouse cursor itself to move focus away from the field.

To rule out any hardware issues, it would be helpful to know how you were testing the playback of this build.

    • If you're only seeing this issue when previewing the course in Storyline, can you confirm that you are working locally, and not off of a network or shared drive?
    • If the problem only occurs after publishing, can you share which publishing format was used (Review 360, LMS, etc)?
      • Also, can the same behavior be observed across multiple browsers, or is it local to one?
    • Does using separate hardware, or an On-Screen (Virtual) Keyboard make a difference?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I am assuming my version is current as I have done this exact same exercise with the same triggers since the previous Feb 10 update. It does not work for me in preview mode or through Review 360, and I am working locally. And I am unsure of any other browser, my  employer only allows us the use of one particular browser. I did try an on-screen keyboard, still with no response from Storyline. I have also done several computer reboots hoping one fixes it.

Actually, one more restart seems to have fixed the issue. It is behaving properly now, I appreciate your assistance.
