Try Again feedback is missing on Feedback by choice quiz
Hi, can someone help me understand why we don't have built-in try again layer if we choose feedback by choice for a pick one quiz?
Is there an efficient hack to do this?

The same overall programming applies: trigger what feedback to show based on a condition. In your case, you'd have a trigger to change to a certain state with a condition that the corresponding response = Selected.

Hey, JoseTansengco ! Thanks for your reply, I get it now. Do you have any suggestions in terms of workaround? I'd like to give 2 attempts, personalized feedback for each of the incorrect answers, but with a "try again" button, and only after the 2 attempt, change it to "continue", that would be set to let the learner continue to the next slide.
Same question here! Also set "attempts" to 1, and no "Try again" layer is displayed.

Setting the number of attempts to 1 means learners only get one chance to answer the question correctly. For the "Try Again" layer to appear, you must set the number of attempts to a minimum of 2.
As to why there are no default feedback layers when the "By Choice" option is selected, Storyline 360, in this case, is configured to respond to the learner's specific selection and not to the interaction in general. This means that if there are 3 options to choose from, Storyline 360 will display 3 unique feedbacks for each of those options instead of the default Correct/Incorrect feedback.Hope this helps!

Yes, that's what I struggled with. I want Feedback by Choice with Try Again layer. Even after I set the attempt for more than 1. There's no Try Again layer if I selected Feedback by Choice, it'll only appear if I choose Feedback by Questions.
I ended up hacking it by adding Try Again button on each individual feedback for the incorrect options. But I wonder if there was a better way to do this.

Hi Lin,
You can have Try Again on these questions by just ensuring your Attempts setting I set to anything greater than one.
The reason there isn't a specific Try Again feedback is because you've selected "by choice" and Storyline has no idea which would be Try Again responses versus correct/incorrect etc.
So that means you are in full control and can just edit any/all of these feedbacks to say whatever you want.
