Using Continue to require correct answer on Knowledge Check.
Hello,
I am attempting to use a Continue divider to require correct answer on Knowledge Check, but cannot get it to work. The Continue button appears even when wrong answers are given. Am I missing something, or is this a feature that is 'in development'?
Thanks,
Dave
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360, adding the new feature below:
- Knowledge check blocks can be added directly to question banks, have their content width and answer colors modified, be required for training progress, and have a set number of retries.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to export your Rise 360 course again.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update!

Hi Eric I was just looking at this new feature and I may be missing something however how does the learner restart the course if they get a knowledge check question wrong if it requires the correct answer to move forward? Is it seen as a course failure and locks out the user like a summary quiz? Does the leaner need to contact the learning manager at that point to unlock the using the feedback section here to communicate that to the leaner when incorrect "Correct/Incorrect feedback lets you create custom responses based on if the learner chooses a correct or incorrect answer". Guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you so much for addressing this issue and adding this very critical feature.

I would like to put my hand in for this feature. We are crippled with some of things we would like to do and this would open up so many possibilities for us. We are only able to get a small percentage of the things we would like to accomplish out of this software due to this limitation. Storyline is not an answer for our specific needs as our current LMS has trouble with it. We would love for example to be able to show a video, ask about something within, and prevent moving forward until the correct answer is given. This seems like to would be a rudimentary feature that would not require a bunch of additional time, skill, and software to produce...? Why does something so expensive for our organization not have such a simple feature?

Rise as product has not changed or grown much from when it was launched 10 years ago. It would great to Articulate to update the quiz format to include features like these. Given how little progress or improvements have been made I would give up waiting and try another product.
Great work and real solution so thanks. Just takes away from ease of creating a quiz in Rise which I do live.

We've also been waiting on this feature for some time.

Hello Sonja,
Thanks for your vote! I've added your voice to the request for the option to require a correct answer to a Knowledge Check question. If you have other comments about your use case, please add them here, and I'll update the feature report.

I have a solution that might help some in this discussion. You can use a Sorting Activity for your "knowledge check" question, and because of the way the sorting activities are designed, the user HAS to get it right before they can move on. And if you combine that with a Continue block that requires completion of content above, users can't skip the sort activity.
I made a quick sample course to show this: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/25d9e4f1-8125-49d1-908f-8a2b185b95bf/review
hope this is helpful

yep, this feature would be really important for me as well

Yes, I agree. I would like to have a way for the learner to get 100% before continuing the course. Adding Storyline to Rise is not a good option. Why not just use Storyline and avoid the issues with Rise?
Please add this functionality.

Any update on adding this request to Rise?
Hi Celeste,
We don't have any new updates to share regarding this feature request, but we'll be sure to leave a message here once the feature request makes it to our product roadmap!

I developed a course in Rise 360, but have activities/assessments such as multiple choice or drag and drop, and need students to pass these activities before they can "continue". I have used storyline blocks for some quiz types already, I am just not sure how to set the conditions for an activity in storyline that makes it a requirement to get the correct answer before they can continue.
Hello Adam,
I'm sorry for the trouble with the Continue block in Rise 360; great idea to open a case as well! I see you've connected with my teammate, Johnrey and resolved the issue by resetting the activity.
If you need help with anything else, please let us know here in the E-Learning Heroes Community or privately in a support case. We'll be happy to assist you!
