Forum Discussion
When will code formatting and a 'copy code' button be included in the Rise code block?
I'm currently exploring alternatives to Articulate, because we teach code-heavy courses, and need this is an essential functionality for our courses. Also, I have seen multiple people with similar requests in this forum, with requests as old as 6+ years or longer. The lack of support and responsiveness from Articulate for basic features such as this is very frustrating.
Rise developers - will this functionality become available in the foreseeable future?

Thanks for sharing that PhilFoss, I appreciate it. I am still learning how to use CSS and plugins for Rise, but I'll see if I can figure out how to use this. Ideally this is something that Rise would provide out of the box without us having to learn code and use integrations for. It likely won't work for my use case (my goal is to save time with development), but I'm still glad to know that this exists.

I'm using an integration with highlight.js and turns out someone built a 'copy' plugin that adds the copy functionality. It works! You can fully style your code to match your other materials.

Thank you for getting back to me StevenBenassi!
Hi TSwenson85!
Thanks for the feedback on the type of functionality you'd like to see with Rise's Code Snippet Block!
We are tracking feature requests to allow formatting within the Code Snippet Block, as well as a more streamlined way of copying code snippet text. I've shared your request with our product team!
We'll be sure to notify you if these enhancements make it to our product roadmap.
