Rise 360 Default Line Heights and Font Sizes
Hi E-Learning Heroes,
I’m working to ensure our Rise 360 courses meet WCAG accessibility standards, particularly around line height (minimum 1.5) and font size for readability.
Here’s what I’ve noticed:
- The default line spacing for the text blocks seems to be around 1.9, which is great.
- When I manually set line spacing to 1.5 in the editor, it looks much tighter, almost like single spacing. (not that you need to, but I was curious)
- Knowledge check blocks and some interactive elements appear to use much smaller line heights and font sizes than body text.
Has anyone documented the actual default line heights and font sizes for each block type in Rise 360? If you have this information in a table format, that would be incredibly helpful for accessibility checks.
Thanks in advance!

Hi STin13
We don’t currently have the default line heights and font sizes documented for each block type in Rise 360. WCAG doesn’t require authors to use specific default spacing values, and Rise 360 already supports learner-controlled adjustments such as increased line height and font size. Because of that, documenting every block’s baseline spacing isn’t necessary for accessibility reviews.
WCAG 2.2’s guidance on text spacing (1.4.12) focuses on whether content remains readable and functional when learners apply their own spacing preferences. It doesn’t require authors to set a specific default line height. Rise 360 is built with this in mind:
- Default text styles use generous, readable spacing.
- As of the October 15, 2024 update, authors can optionally adjust line height and letter spacing in the editor.
- Rise 360 supports learner overrides through browser settings or custom style sheets, ensuring content adapts cleanly when someone increases spacing to meet their own reading needs.
To help us better understand your needs, could you share how having the exact default spacing values would support your accessibility review process?
