Search Bar Functionality (Articulate - storyline) (Keyword-Based Navigation)
I believe a search functionality already exists in Storyline. It can be activated by checking the Search box in the Player Controls settings. It works as intended: type a keyword into the search bar, and slides containing the searched keyword will appear below, allowing learners to navigate directly to those slides wherever the keyword appears.
The Search feature is part of the Menu as a separate tab, and it is visible only if the Menu is enabled either on the slide level or for the entire course.
With a bit of JavaScript, you can also hide the Search tab until the course is completed, then make it visible afterward so learners can freely navigate to any slide without skipping slides they have not viewed yet.
If your menu is restricted, the search functionality is still available. All slides containing the searched keywords will appear in the results; however, learners will not be able to navigate to locked slides unless those slides have already been viewed and unlocked.
