Final Quiz Results Slide - Show User's Score won't stay checked

I have a module with two quizzes in two different scenes.  Each scene has a quiz results slide, shows the user score, and allows the user to review the quiz.  When the module is published, these 2 results slide do show the user score accurately..

The module also has a final results slide in a final scene.  In its Results Slide Properties, it is set to Calculate the Score using the selected 2 previous results slide.  It is set to Combine Points from Each Quiz (as opposed to requiring that the user must pass each quiz.)  In the Options screen, I've checked Show Users' Score, Show Passing Score, and Allow User to Retake Quiz.

I tested in Scorm Cloud and it doesn't show the final score.  When I open the module, Show User's Score is no longer checked on that final results slide.  I check it again and click ok to close.  But when I go into Edit Results Slide, Options, it is not saving that check, so the user's score can't display. 

I've noticed that this is happening in my other modules where I have multiple quiz results slide, but always on the final slide.  Are there some settings that are interfering with this being able to be saved?

Hi Corinne,

A few items I'd check first are:

  • What update of Storyline are you using? Storyline update 5 was released at the end of January, and you can find information about bug fixes and a link to download it here. 
  • When creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Storyline courses, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources. See this article for more information.
  • Since it seems to happen across more than one Storyline project, after you check the above steps, I'd also recommend following the  troubleshooting steps in this article to fix unexpected or erratic behavior in Articulate Storyline.

Please let us know how things work after conducting the above steps, and if you're still having difficulty can you share one of your Storyline files with us? If you can't share here in the forums, please let me know and I'll send you directions on how to transfer the file to me.

Good Morning, Corrine.

It sounds like we're having some trouble displaying the user's score when the Calculate results for property is set to Selected Results Slides.  What happens if you manually insert variable references to %Results.ScorePercent% and/or %Results.ScorePoints% on the slide?  Is the user's score displayed properly, or no?  Thanks!

I was encountering a similar problem and noticed the Combine points from each quiz radio button needs to be checked (along with the required Results Slides) if you use the Calculate results from Selected Results Slides 

You've probably figured it out at this stage, but just in case anyone else might have this query, I thought I'd post this solution here.
