Finish button not closing window, scores not being reported

Feb 12, 2014

We use articulate online and our courses have a quizmaker quiz at the very end of the module. When you click on the finish button, after you take the quiz, it does nothing. Just sits there as if you never clicked on it. This is causing my usage not to show up in my reports. I have the finish button set up to close the window when clicked but again, it just does nothing. If i close the window by clicking on the X at the top of the page, my completion status is not reported back to my Articulate online. Someone please help!

Greetings, Lindsay.

Are you publishing your course with Presenter '09 and viewing the content within Internet Explorer 11, by chance?  If so, both of these are known issues:

  1. The Exit tab may not work in Internet Explorer 11. This is a known issue. To correct it, add your course to the Compatibility View Settings in Internet Explorer. Here's how.
  2. Articulate Studio '09 content may not track in Articulate Online when it's viewed in Internet Explorer 11.  This issue was fixed in Update 10 for Studio '09.  We'll automatically update all Studio ’09 content in Articulate Online in the very near future, but in the meantime, you can install Update 10 and republish your content to Articulate Online, or instruct learners to add Articulate Online to the Compatibility View Settings in Internet Explorer. Here's how.

If either Presenter '09 or Internet Explorer 11 is not part of the equation for you, please review these recommendations for the user, for the content developer, and for the Articulate Online administrator.  Good luck with your project!
