the community forum search, doesn't seem to be working for me every time I enter a search term and press go, it comes up with "no items have been found"
Glad you reported this - I had intermittent problems with this all day yesterday - search would work, then it wouldn't....no apparent or consistent pattern to why. I also have another user in the group I manage that has been unable to get any results from the search functionality for several days. Win 7 professional 64 bit, using both IE and Firefox.

I have seen this issue as well. I now use Google to search as described in this thread here.
