I'm facing the same issue like NDE. For me there are a few work arounds helping out as the option in the link with language triggers might be helpful for pictures but not for videos. I mean, having auto generated closed captures is nice, but in some cases the video itself has some texts requiring localization.
- Add the video containing the translation after the first one with the original language in the timeline and add a cue point at the start of the translated video. Then add a trigger to jump to the cuepoint when timeline starts, if language is ...
- Add a separate layer (if possible) and define the selection of the layer by language variables.
- Another solution might be to safe the translated version as a separate file with the consequence to loose the language selection and also maintaining different files later on.
