I am trying upload a published AICC SCORM but I keep getting his error in moodle. I'm not sure what is happening. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Incorrect file package - missing imsmanifest.xml or AICC structure
I once got the same error. The mistake I made, when I manually zipped the package, was zipping the package folder. Instead of zipping the package content. When you manually zipped the package, make sure you zip the content.
It sounds like you've followed these directions (from the article Dan linked to):
The SCORM authoring tool Articulate sometimes fails to create the imsmanifest.xml -Try exporting the package again and see if the manifest is generated.
The SCORM authoring tool Articulate Presenter will publish packages where the imsmanifest.xml file is in the correct place, but there are several lines of white space in the manifest file if you do not fill out the Reporting and Tracking Options in Articulate Presenter for Keywords and LMS Description. Moodle will give a "Manifest not found" error when encountering this. To fix this problem select the Reporting and Tracking Options in the Articulate Presenter publish dialog and fill in the LMS Description and Keywords.
Thanks for the prompt reply. I went ahead submitted a case. This one is for a client so I didn't want to upload the course. I've tried publishing it in different computers and it still doesn't create the imsmanifest.xml file. It is strange.
As Phil mentions, AICC packages don't contain the imsmanifest.xml file but the discussion he linked to could be your problem - an earlier version of Moodle had an issue recognising AICC packages which was fixed in 2.4.6 and 2.5.2 - what Moodle version are you using?
i got the same problem, but with another LMS. In my case the reason was that in Course's title were present inverted commas and this caused conflict in uploading.
Hi Juan! What version of Studio are you utilizing? Be sure that you are zipping the content as Dan shares above, and we advise doing this from the Publish Successful dialog box.

The most common cause of this in Moodle is an incorrectly packaged zip.

Hi Jay! Looks like Dan and Stijn are taking care of you here, just let us know how their suggestion works for you.
Thanks for the fast replies!
It seems like Articulate is not creating a imsmanifest file. I have filled out information in the tracking section and I am not seeing the file.
I am zipping the course through Articulate zip option so I don't think it's a zipping option.
Any ideas on why it's not creating one even though I have populated everything in the text fields?
Thanks!
Hi Jay,

Can you share your Presenter file here with us or if you'd prefer to not post it in the forums, submit a Support case. You'll need to follow these directions on packaging your Presenter files.

Thanks for your help.
For AICC you do not need a Manifest file and one will not be created by Storyline, any reason why you are not using Scorm 1.2 in Moodle?
