I would like to make a slide with panning functionality.
If you can imagine a layer that has borders and it also has a window in the middle. Inside this window there is a picture, it is underneath. This picture is bigger than window but smaller than a borders frame. When you grab a picture inside window you can move it around until picture touches the border, then it stopped. So you can move any direction but you are limited by frame borders.
Does anybody idea how to do it? If possible at all.
Can you use a zoom region? Shrink the picture to fit in the slide and use a combination of zoom regions butted up to one another to pan across
To prevent the pixellation move your large image off slide copy and paste the image (this is important so it is registered in the library as a copy) put the pasted version on the slide and shrink down to fit then add you zoom regions
I think we misunderstand each other. From what you are saying I can do panning and zooming effect, right?
I am trying to find a way to make real interactive panning functionality, so you grab a picture by mouse, move around and drop elsewhere within frame border. Important thing is that, when you grab a picture (click mouse on it), it will always stay underneath the frame.
Drag and drop this function is called in Storyline but I cannot make it worked as I want.
I made a picture for better understanding. Have a look please:
You can't actually make the picture move, but you can set up different states or layers where there is a copy of the image, but in a different position. Then use a button and a variable to change the states or layers. It won't be very smooth but you can achieve it.
Dragging an invisible object that's layered over the whole thing is also an option, there's a file here using drag and drop to make a slider, although you need a LOT of triggers! Amazing stuff...
Sasha's examples are great, you could also do it over a number or slides to simulate it you could of course just build that frame and set it to drag and drop, if you make the mask area off screen large enough but it would not zoom
