peek in system tray but wont open dialogue box for new recording

also tried launching articulate 360 suite and choosing peek, but it doesn't do anything at all.

all updates have occurred - just did most recent update today but peek wouldnt open before or after (thought the update would fix it).  properties show it hasnt been updated since May 24, 2019 and there are no previous version.

need help/fix or have to use loom sending me out of the tools we paid for.

Hey Cheryl,

I am sorry that Peek is giving you some troubles here. 

Could I have you try to close out Peek 360 completely and try launching it from the desktop application?  You can close out of Peek 360 completely from the system tray by right-clicking the Peek 360 icon and selecting quit:
