Problem with Graded Quizzing Hotspot slide

Jul 26, 2012

I'm wondering if anybody else have had the same problem that I am having.

I inserted a new slide of type Graded Quizzing Hotspot. Then I created my hotspot on top of my image and set the correct answer to the appropriate hotspot. When I preview the slide, the cursor shows as a hand anywhere over the picture instead of just over the hotspots. The actual quiz gives the proper feedback when clicking the hotspots but it also gives a feedback of Incorrect when clicking anywhere on the picture where there is no hotspot. So what is the point of adding wrong hotspots?

When I make the fill or outline of the hotspots visible, the hotspots still don't show and everything works the same as I stated in the paragraph above.

By the way I have added other of that type and always have the same problem.

Thank you very much Jeannette. That helped a lot. What I was missing was the Feedback By Choice. However I think it would be very beneficial to have the option to not show the hand when not hovering over the hotspots. Maybe in a later release, I hope.

In the meantime I think your other solution fits more what I'm trying to do because I don't want them to waste any of the available attempts on objects I don't want them to click on.

Again thank you very much for your help.

Yves
