Thanks for providing those details! This matches an open issue in Storyline 3 and Storyline 360:

  • Behavior: Slide navigation buttons appear for a second even if there's a trigger to change their state to Hidden when the timeline starts.
  • Workarounds
    1. Add a trigger to show the button at a certain point in the slide.
    2. Add a custom button and set the built-in button to Hidden.
