New Articulate Review feature - Comment without Account

If you're referring to the email digest feature, that's not quite yet released but will be available in Q1. Updates to Articulate 360 come so quickly that we've started sharing info about the imminent features alongside those which have come out recently on our "What's New" page. I love review, just hate the emails notifications, they re disrupting my day :-)

I love the clean design of review and hw the content is front and centre, any chance you can pull in slide number as well in review (or am I just not seeing it).

So far I am loving Review, and am glad you added this option. Not having to create an account will be a big selling point to our reviewers!

I especially like how it automatically takes a screenshot of wherever you were when you left a comment. 

I've setup a rule in outlook to move them into a separate folder. 

That's excellent. That was a big barrier for stakeholders who want to comment, but aren't developers and don't want to have to login to Articulate just to perform a review.

I have a review project running on Articulate Review. I have enabled Allow anonymous comments, but whenever someone try to leave a comment anonymously, they are prompted to enter an email, then a password. Why?

Is it possible that this specific reviewer already has an Articulate ID?  If the reviewer has already created an Articulate ID, we'll ask them to log in.  If they haven't, we won't.

Also, I just want to clarify that the feature isn't Allow anonymous comments, it's Allow comments without signing in.  Sounds like a subtle difference, but even reviewers without an Articulate ID will be required to enter an email address.  You can check out a screenshot of that functionality within Mike's post above, or click the Watch Video button on on our What's New page to watch Arlyn demonstrate the feature.

That's a fantastic feature. Getting around account creation opens up quite a few more doors.

I had the same  issue as Soren J Birch.

I followed the advise of Justin Grenier to watch the video on the "What's new Page".

That demo of Review showed him entering an email and then going straight over to leave a comment.

Our training team has to share with a lot of stakeholders our new content and we need them to all leave feedback.

So why are our people saying they have to also enter a Password.  In this situation Less is More.  

Future request:  We would benefit from allowing users to skip entering an email, and just enter their name one time (maybe using cookies) - hit okay, and then be able to review every course that we give out links to review.

I'm also having a major glitch the past 2 days.

When people are reviewing each course, they are leaving feedback one time, and it duplicates 7-9  times.  It sends me 7-9 emails, and it will show up when I review all of the feedback with the screenshots.

Is anyone else having this new issue?

I haven't heard this issue yet, but it would help if we could get a look at one of the Review links in question. If you don't want to share here in the Community forums, can you send it along to our Support Engineers here? 

Kyle - the only time users should be prompted for a password is if they already have an Articulate ID. Else, when they enter their email, they should be able to comment straight away.

Thank you Adam! My boss did not realize he had created an Articulate ID.  This was helpful to know.

No problem Kyle - I wouldn't want it to be out there if that wasn't your intent, so I was able to get it into the hands of our team pretty quickly with all the history here. I do see that you're working with Lea on this, so I'll follow along as well.

Great news - we just rolled out the feature in Articulate Review to change how frequently you're getting emails about comments on your courses. You can see this feature detailed here.

Hello, I have the "Allow comments without signing in" button checked, and "set a password" is not checked,  however my reviewers are still being asked to provide a password. How can I resolve this?

Hi Laurel - the only reason your reviewers would be prompted for a password in that configuration is because they already have an Articulate ID. Can you test that if it's an email that doesn't have an account already whether it prompts for a password?

The reviewer who is being asked to sign in does not have an Articulate ID. She is also not on our 360 team as an admin, nor does she have a seat assigned to her. She is an external reviewer as far as Articulate is concerned.

I'm sorry to steer the comments on this article off in a tangent to trouble shoot my particular issue. I posted here because when I searched the forums for Review assistance, this article came up and it seemed relevant. Is there another place I should be going for this sort of tech support?
