Problems with Review Comments

Hello,

Both yesterday and today, a colleague and myself both experienced some hang-ups when trying to post comments to a Storyline 360 file in Review. It seems things would freeze up on us at times and not allow comments to be entered after they were typed. After exiting and re-entering the site a few times (sometimes up to 25 minutes later) every attempt we had made to submit the same comment would show, resulting in a slew of duplicate comments that then needed to be deleted. We have experienced this in both Chrome and Firefox. My colleague is becoming pretty frustrated with this as we have quite a few projects to review in a short period of time. Help!

We can certainly help with this! Can you share a copy of your Review link with us so that we can take a look? Also, is it just this one particular course or are you seeing it on a few different ones?

Hi Ashley,

This was happening in multiple files under two different trial accounts (we are waiting for our UTO office to finish the transaction for a TEAMS account purchase). Here are the links to files that were having this problem, but in general, I think it was happening on just about anything we were working on the past two days. Not sure if this could have anything to do with it but just FYI these are files that were converted from Storyline 2 to 360 prior to publishing to Review.

Another question-is there a character limit for comments?

Thanks Hannah - I got those links right into the hands of our team and we're investigating right now. It's good information to have that it was also multiple courses and not just one. Although I don't think it had to do with upgrading the courses - always the more information the better. :)

The character limit for each comment should be 1500.

Hi Hannah,

Just an update on this here, it seems there have been some intermittent issues with Articulate Review and you may have seen those notifications if you were subscribed to the Articulate Status page here: https://www.articulatestatus.com 

As you'll see on that page the fix is almost finalized, but what you were seeing was that the comments were posting to the back end but not yet loading up on your course to be visible. So adding the multiple comments and then closing out of the browser or refreshing the page caused the comments to all successfully appear and look like duplicates. 

We'll keep you posted here once it's fixed, and you can also subscribe to that status page to receive these updates as email notifications.
