ALT Text With Edge Browser
Mar 24, 2020
Curiosity questions . . .
A client of ours is reviewing five modules that we just did in Rise.
She has loaded one of the modules into the SCORM Cloud. Whenever she hovers her mouse over any element in the course (both text and images) using the new Edge browser, the ALT tag shows up as "Lesson Content." She'd like that not to happen.
When I view the same module with Edge on the SCORM Cloud, I see the same thing--but not when using IE11, FireFox, or Chrome (which is weird since the new Edge uses the Chromium engine). Why?
Now something that is also weird: if I load the course module in the Moodle LMS, instead of seeing "Lesson Content" with Edge, I see "Course Details."
Any way to get rid of seeing this ALT Text with Edge?

I'm seeing the Course Details and Lesson Content ALT Text, in Chrome, FireFox, and Edge Chromium.
Thanks for bringing this up, Garry! Those are screen element tags, and you shouldn't see them at all. Our team is working to fix that as we speak. I'll update you once it's resolved!
Thanks, Alyssa!
Good news — this is fixed! You should no longer see screen element tags when hovering over text in Rise 360.
Please refresh your Rise 360 browser window to take advantage of this fix.

HI Alyssa,
thank you for your quick support! Everything is alright!
Thanks, Alyssa! :) Yes, GREAT response.
Does this require an update on the end user/developer authoring device or should it happen automatically?
Hi James!
Simply refreshing your web browser will update your version of Rise 360 to the latest version.
Are you seeing a Lesson Content tag when you hover over text inside a lesson?
Yes.
I was able to replicate on IE 11, Chrome, and Mac Safari using a deployment on a website.
This is not an issue when in Rise making edits and in Preview mode.
Thanks for the follow-up, James.
Was this content published prior to March 25th? If so, you'll need to republish that content to take advantage of the bug fix.
I will check with my team and find out. Thank you Alyssa.
