Applying master templates, colours etc. and accessibility

Jun 27, 2019

Good morning,

Could you advise if and how we can apply our standard approved template format and colours set as a master template and are all Articulate platforms or software fully accessible. For example text bullets Alt Text, captions, web video text etc.?

Hi there, Sharryn. Happy to answer your questions about templates and accessibility.

First, there are a few ways to standardize your content, even with multiple course authors.

  • Use your course settings to adjust fonts, the accent color, and navigation styles. Add a placeholder lesson to your course, and you can share a copy of this course with other authors to use as a template. Simply duplicate it to create a new course with the same settings.
  • Use template blocks to reuse lesson content. With an Articulate 360 Teams subscription, you can create a library of blocks to be reused by any author on your team.

On to accessibility! Our ultimate goal is to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for Rise 360. So far, we’ve increased the contrast for built-in course features, added alt text for images, and added keyboard-accessible navigation. And we’re currently working on full screen reader support.

Here's a look at how Storyline 360 stacks up! Storyline 360 includes screen reader support, alt text, closed caption support, and many more features to support WCAG. Accessibility information for the rest of your Articulate 360 apps can be found on our support page
