Articulate 360 owner permission

Jul 09, 2020

As the account owner, can I view, make a copy for a different user, share the Rise courses from users under the same team account? If someone leaves the team and I have to reassign, do the courses created by the previous user be kept in the account?

Hi Peter,

The owner of the course and the Articulate account administrator are two distinct roles. The Articulate account administrator takes care of assigning Articulate 360 licenses to employees and is typically not involved in course development, e.g. someone in IT.

If you click on your icon in the top right-hand corner of the browser, you can check who the Articulate account administrator is for your organization. It's under Team Info.

In terms of other roles in Rise, you have different levels of collaborators:

Collaborators can have one of three roles for a course:

  • The Course Owner can do everything.
  • A Course Manager can do everything except edit labels, transfer ownership, and delete the course. When a course manager publishes a course to Review 360, it's published to the course owner's account rather than the course manager's account.
  • A Course Collaborator can edit the course but doesn’t have access to Settings, Share, Review, or Export.

By default, collaborators are assigned the course collaborator role. You can update their role at any time.
