Assigning particular points to quiz questions

May 13, 2022

Hi!

A client wants a quiz for their bar-personell to get an idea of their drinking habits. A question can be "How often do you drink alcohol?" and the answers should have designated points so that it can sum up at the end (like: "Never" is 0 points, "Once a month" is 1 point, "2-4 times per month" is 2 points, 2-3 times a week" is 3 points and "4 times a week or more" is 4 points...

How would you go about doing something like that? Since there are no "correct" answers, I don't know how to achieve this, is there s simple Storyline-block I could embed, do you have links to Storyline tutorials for this...?

Best regards, Michael Nilsson

Hi Michael!

If this interaction is just for the learners' personal reflection, you can definitely use a Storyline block to include a survey and customized survey results and feedback.

Instead of using a Storyline survey interaction, you can create custom scaled answers using radio buttons and number variables for each button. At the end, you can create triggers that reference your number variables to display customized feedback based on how your learners answer.

Here are some resources to help:

There won't be a way to get this information from your Rise 360 course into an LMS, however. If you need to view learner responses, your best bet is to embed an external survey tool.
