Collecting emails in Rise
Nov 09, 2020
I have seen questions about sending an email in a Rise course. I am looking to do something a bit different. Perhaps there is a way to code it, but that's beyond my capabilities. I would like users to select which Canadian province/territory they are in (choose from a drop down of 12) and then enter their email address in a box. When they click submit, that information will be used to send their email address to the appropriate provincial admin person for follow up. Honestly, even if we could just do it with one contact email (instead of choosing from 12) that would work. But I don't see a way to do this. Thanks.

Hi John,
The simplest solution in Rise would be to list all provinces and territories using text and show the correct email address besides each item in the list.
Of course a single contact email address using MAILTO: is also doable:
mailto:you@mail.ca
Thanks for the reply! So I don't want the user to email the provinces themselves. Because they may or may not do it. Essentially I want to figure out a way to collect the user's email address and send it to the provinces. So a little different than what you are suggesting (I think)
Hi John,
Sorry I misunderstood your question.
I can't think of a way meet your requirement using Rise.
