When I try to add a cover photo I get the following message, "Please verify the file type is an image and try again." I've tried uploading .jpeg and .png files.
We get this error today, when uploading logo and cover photos in both Edge and Chrome. Chrome was automatically updated today and all my co-workers are having the same error with Rise in Chrome and Edge.
Could it be the browser version, that is causing the problem?
I also updated Chrome recently (yesterday to ver. 69) and tested uploading a cover photo from my computer and content library. Both of those worked well and without issue.
Could you share the image file you're trying to upload, that way I can test in Rise and do a bit more troubleshooting! You can share it here using the Add Attachment button.
This is currently happening to me. I have rebooted my computer, cleared cookies, and am using google chrome. I am trying to upload a png file that I was able to add in different areas of the course.
We're seeing an issue with image files that have spaces in the name. While we're investigating, please edit the file name to remove or replace the spaces, and let me know if that works!

Hi there, Douglas. Thanks for the detail - those file types are definitely supported. Let's cover some basics.
If you'd like to share one of the files, I'm happy to make sure it works on my end.

We had to reboot our computers after browser update, so it was working the next day :-)
Glad to hear that Dorte :) Thanks for chiming in with an update!
Only happens when using IE. Just use Chrome. :)

Hello Athena! Sorry for the trouble.
We're seeing an issue with image files that have spaces in the name. While we're investigating, please edit the file name to remove or replace the spaces, and let me know if that works!
That worked perfectly! Thank you.
Good news, Athena! This problem is now resolved. You should no longer have issues uploading an image with spaces in the file name.
Please refresh your browser to take advantage of this fix, and let us know if you run into any more trouble!
