Detect Scroll Event in Rise via Javascript

I am having issues detecting (using Javascript AddEventListener or onscroll event) when a user scrolls a Rise course window. This is due to the fact that most of the main container elements in Rise have the height set 100% which disables the scroll event triggering. I know it is outside the scope of Articulate board to discuss Javascript but I was hoping to get some insight. Has anyone in the community found a workaround for something like this? Is there a class in Rise I could detect and add the event listener to those elements?
